A healthy intestine - more than just digestion

Hippocrates already knew over 2000 years ago: "All diseases start in the intestine." What he intuitively recognized at the time today confirms modern research. The intestine is much more than a digestive body - it influences our immune system, our psyche and all of our health.
Our ancestors still lived largely in the intestinal friendly - with natural, unprocessed foods, a lot of movement and little stress. However, industrialization brought a lot of changed eating habits: finished products, sugar, additives and permanent stress put a strain on our organism - and especially the intestine.

When the intestine rebelled - first signs

Many people suffer from chronic complaints such as:

What are multi-intolerances?

Why healthy eating doesn't always help

Many affected people consciously eat, do without sugar, white flour and additives - and still have symptoms. The reason: A supposedly “intestinal” diet can even lead to a deterioration in symptoms in the event of an already damaged intestine.

Possible causes:
🔺 Dysbiosis (disturbed intestinal flora)
🔺 Leaky-Gut syndrome (permeable intestinal mucosa)
🔺 Encycling deficiency, e.g. B. at lactase or dao
🔺 Overwhelming due to fiber -rich or histamine -containing foods

Not everyone tolerates z. B. sauerkraut, legumes or raw food - even if they are theoretically "healthy". The key is in an individual, tolerable diet.

How do multi-intolerances arise?

The origin is often creeping. Auslöser können sein:

Symptoms of multi-intolerances

The symptoms are diverse and often diffuse:

🔺 Skin problems (eczema, acne)

🔺 chronic fatigue

Some patients already suffer from nutrient defects because the nutrient absorption in the intestine is impaired.

The way to get better - what you can do

If you have suspected one or more intolerances, the following steps will help you:

1️⃣ Conduct nutrition and symptom diary
Write down what you eat every day and how you feel. This allows you to recognize possible relationships between food and complaints.

2️⃣ Start exclusion diet
Consistent for suspicious substances (e.g. lactose, fructose, histamine, gluten) for a few weeks. If you are noticeable, one or more intolerances is likely.

3️⃣ Slow reintroduction
After the maternity leave phase, foods can be slowly and individually reintroduced - this is how you can use what you can tolerate.

4️⃣ Care microbioma - but targeted
A diverse intestinal flora is important, but you have to be particularly careful with multi-intolerances. Too many prebiotic fiber at once can be counterproductive. Pay attention to an individual selection of compatible foods.

5️⃣ holistic support
Often natural measures such as:

• targeted intestinal structure
• Stress management (e.g. yoga, breathing techniques)
• Moderate movement
• Mindful eating behavior
